Popcornography 2015 movies Part 2
We continue to look into 2015’s every nook and cranny for the greatest, most exciting blockbusters due to hit cinemas this year!

RickWritten By: Rick Masters

So here we are, a list so big the internet couldn’t hold it all in one place for the fear of being hijacked by aliens. Join us for part 2 of the biggest films coming 2015!

Terminator Genisys
3 July 2015 (UK) Action/Sci-Fi
TerminatorHe promised he’d be back and indeed he is! High possibility he’ll be screaming “Ow me back” this time though, he’s getting on a bit isn’t he?!  No longer getting pay checks as the governor of California Arnie has decided to go back in time… (or forward? I’ll be honest I have no idea whats going on in the story now) to kick arse and help stop Judgement day (again). Also featuring Jai Courtney and the british actress Emilia Clarke (Denar… Danar… Daener… “Dragon Girl” from Game Of Thrones) playing the more warrior hardened Sarah Connor this time. The film certainly has the cast. I’m excited for this.

In The Heart Of The Sea
13 March 2015 (UK) Action/Adventure TRAILER
In The Heart of The SeaFeaturing Chris Hemsworth and based on an event that took place in 1820, the hunters become the hunted as a whaling ship is preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home. Cant help but feel I’ll be rooting for the sperm whale here, Trailer looks pretty damn impressive so give that a click above and look for this sailing into the cinemas in March.

Get Hard
27 March 2015 (UK) Comedy TRAILER
Get HardNot sure why but I can’t help but feel they thought of the title of the film long before even thinking about the plot of this movie however this film certainly has the potential to be THE comedy of the year.. It has Will Ferrell in it for christ sake! Everything he touches turns to gold. A millionaire (Ferrell) is convicted of fraud and given a 10 year prison sentence and so he hires Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) to erm… Get him hard, ready for his time behind bars. Little does he know that Darnell is the least qualified person to teach this.

.

Blackhat
20 February 2015 (UK) Action/Crime/Drama
BlackhatNow I’m a man of the straight variety however I cant help but feel Chris Hemsworth is far too handsome, sexy, delicious and manly to play the part of a super cyber crime hacker (maybe that’s nerdist thing to say now-a-days I dunno) However the film is certainly playing on the world fears at the moment. As talked about on this very website, hacking has been a growing concern worldwide and has hit the headlines more times than ever these past few months (The Sony hack, A US Military social media hack and many more) Its looking like a really interesting film.

The Hunger Games Part 2
20 November 2015 (UK) Adventure/Sci-fi
Hunger Games P2Its time for all out revolution!!! Katniss Everdeen is ready to lead District 13 into an all out war against the evil autocratic Capitol. The fight that’s been building up over 3 films (feel like I’ve just watched the first one!) is going to come to it’s climatic conclusion. Theres talk of more in the future and I personally hope there is, throughly enjoyed this series…. As long as Jennifer Lawrence remains as the main character then I’ll always remain hungry for more.

.

Hot Tub Time Machine
10 April 2015 (UK) Comedy TRAILER
Hot Tub Time MachinePersonally I believe the first Hot Tub Time Machine was one of the best comedies for years! Now in this follow-up movie Jacob & Nick have to travel back in time to save their millionaire friend and “Father of The Internet” Lou who has been shot by an assassin. Things don’t go quite as planned and they jump into the future, different realities and get first hand experience of what their lives will be like 2025. If this is half as good as the first then it’ll be hilarious. If not then they can always go back and try again.

.

Mission Impossible 5
26 December 2015 (UK) Action/Thriller
MI 5Not only are we treated to a new Bond film this year but Ethan Hunt returns to destroy some world terrorist threat or it could simply be a film following Ethan on his day-to-day chores, taking his son to play school followed by a game a golf, possibly grabbing a bite to eat at Subway. No one knows the plot of this film yet, no trailers, no posters, no nothing. We do know it’s on course to hit cinemas this Christmas, hopefully that’ll be possible and it wont slip into 2016. As soon as we have more information we will be shouting about it so stay tuned.

.

Kingsman: The Secret Service
29 January 2015 (UK) Action/Adventure/Comedy TRAILER
KingsmanFirstly this film has Samuel L. Jackson AND Colin Firth so how can it possibly fail? Im a sucker for British comedy/crime action films such as “Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels” & “Snatch” and this film oozes these qualities. In this movie we follow a young lad who’s a bit of a wrong’un and is recruited by Harry Hart (played by Colin Firth) a British secret service agent who sees potential in him. Together they must fight the terrorist threat that is Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) Early reviews for the film have been very positive. I cant wait for this!

.

Tomorrowland
22 May 2015 (UK) Sci-Fi TRAILER
TomorrowlandThe film’s tagline reads “Imagine a place where nothing is impossible” Sounds like a Disney movie to me, (It’s also a world where we wouldn’t need Ethan Hunt as well I guess) The trailer looks hugely promising (gives away very little but enough to get you interested) and the films picked up quite a following since being announced. Featuring the one and only George Clooney this could be big!

.

The Hateful Eight
13 November 2015 (USA) Western
The Hateful EightWhat could possibly be Quentin Tarantino’s very last film comes what sounds like a dark and twisting plot, The official blurb is: “In post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunters try to find shelter during a blizzard but get involved in a plot of betrayal and deception. Will they survive?” Featuring Channing Tatum, Samuel L. Jackson and the mastermind that is Quentin Tarantino this is bound to pick up a lot of buzz closer to the films official release. Can it be as big as Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs or even Pulp Fiction remains to be seen but I for one am excited.

.

Pan
17 July 2015 (UK) Adventure/Comedy
PanSo that’s why Wolverine never ages! He once lived in Neverland! Didnt see that in X-Men did we? Well here we have another remake of a remake of a remake of a remake of a remake of…. you get the idea. Not only do we get to enjoy the story of Cinderella again this year but also to world of Peter Pan featuring Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard. It’s likely to have it own little spin on it but I’m not convince yet… I mean the idea of Pan without the legend that is Robin Williams just wont take off in my opinion…  Why is Peter Pan always flying??? Because he Neverlands.

London Has Fallen
2 October 2015 (UK) Action/Crime/Thriller
London Has FallenCor Blimey where did this film come from? The direct sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen” and again featuring Gerard Butler & Morgan Freeman. Hardly any information for this film currently exists but it is slated for an October release in the UK and revolves around the British Prime Ministers death and an assassination attempt to kill all attending world leaders. It’s a breath of fresh air to see this movie take place in good old blighty for a changes and not another American City as do most hollywood blockbusters. I’m excited for what is sure to be a brainless yet exciting action packed movie.
